Lacquering...
can change the feel of a thing like no other makeover. We can talk.

                                                          Generally,   $500 - $1500.

This 1940's Asian Modern radio cabinet is worn out - but the frame and form is fantastic!

Can't you "SEE IT" hiding in there?

In this shape - it was on our showroom floor for 5 months  - at only $495 and surprisingly - not a single soul asked about it. So we sent it off to be updated into a 21st Century Modern style.

See what I mean? In this form - it sold for $1200 net in 4 days.

Steinway Gray Streaked Black piano finish on the surround - Distressed wood front now waxed - and the 50 year old patina on the 2 handles left alone. When the glass top is added - this little jewel won't be on the market again until somewhere in the 21st mid century.

Alex Montana from "Collections Rare" chose this simple 1950's 5 drawer wood chest for the room of an 8 year old girl. For $450 we applied the matching blue lacquer to coordinate with the existing colors in the room, and for an additional $85 the handles were re-chromed a shiny nickel.

What do ya think?

In this before picture - you can see this credenza cabinet is in a 1950's
cerused oak; also notice the metal handles have virtually no patina.

But here in the after picture - it has been transformed to something spectacular for only $850 more; now in  a satin decorator's white.

The satin finish allows you to see the symmetrical lines in stark contrast to the newly nickel plated handles.

This piece is on the floor and available for only

$2250.00

Curved front - very heavy and solid oak wood construction.

This spectacular credenza was loaned out to the month long October exhibition at the late Eddie Chiles Mansion in Ft Worth. Pictured above, in the guest bedroom, as it was designed by Paula Brown, Stephen Mayfield and Nancy Courtney.

Mid Century Modern is about clean lines and crisp colors. As  modern man advanced technologically - he desired less and less clutter in his forms, relationships, routines and surroundings.

There is no end to the colors you can pick - or the styles of furniture you can choose from. As you can see, each piece can be interpreted in several different ways.

Do you have a way with furniture?
